Delivering On Our Priorities
Making Healthcare Accessible
A year ago, 400,000 Virginians didn’t have access to affordable healthcare. So I went into office to expand Medicaid, and make it so people wouldn’t have to put off preventative doctor’s visits or worry about getting the medication they need.
Increasing Teacher Pay
Having been a public school teacher, I know firsthand the importance of paying educators a fair wage. That’s why I fought to increase teacher pay by 5% so we could keep and recruit the best teachers who will in turn give our children the best education possible.
Protecting Against Flooding
To lessen the damages of flooding, we need to first address the heart of the issue: climate change. It’s why I spearheaded efforts to educate residents and to join the American Flood Coalition so that we can tackle this pressing issue as a united front.
I’m running because I’m accountable for the world I live in.
Virginia Beach is my home. I was raised here. I got married here. I started a family here. I became the first in my family to graduate from college here. I taught public school children here. I started a small business helping military families here.
I want to have a say when it comes to the community that’s shaped who I am, and where my husband Dave serves as a law enforcement officer. I’ve stood up and delivered on the issues that matter most to our community where I’ve chosen to raise my two daughters. And with your support, I plan on continuing those successes so that our government works for every Virginian.
